R-Control SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) were selected in the design of this university student housing complex. R-Control SIPs provided an energy efficient wall system and reduced air leakage. Reducing air leakage provides a more comfortable living environment for the students.
Speed of Construction
The fast installation of the R-Control SIP walls helped expedite the builder’s construction schedule. The 182’ x 48’ three story building was ready for finishing within 12 days. Construction continued without delay throughout the harsh Montana winter.
