St. Sebastians Church SIP Project Profile

St. Sebastians Church - (Byron Center, MI)

R-Control SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) were selected in the design of St. Sebastion Church for both the wall and roof systems. R-Control SIP is a faster method of construction. The fast installation of the R-Control SIP walls helped expedite the builder’s construction schedule. Large sections were installed in single pieces. Similar stick construction would have taken weeks longer.

R-Control SIPs not only provide a strong structural system that resist loads caused by wind and snow, but they are also environmentally friendly. The structural skins of R-Control Structural Insulated Panels are made from renewable controlled growth wood resources, and the EPS core contains no CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs, or formaldehyde while providing superior insulation. For years and years, this R-Control structure will save fuel used for heating and cooling and reduce pollutants.
